Case Study: 508 Operations
508 Operations is a full-service event production, labor, logistics, and trucking company based in New York City. Founded by two commensurate event & venue management industry veterans with stellar professional reputations, 508 Operations has become a multi-million dollar business built from the ground up through strong personal relationship development, word-of-mouth, and direct referrals. But to take it to the next level and further establish their reputation in the industry, they recognized a need to strengthen their digital footprint.
We took ownership of their social media channels, cleaned up past posts, and worked with their executive team to establish a more regular posting cadence after not being utilized for several years. To cull timely in-the-field content, a shared calendar of project assignments was built, and we established a shared WhatsApp group for photo sharing. Disparate and duplicate social media profiles were claimed and combined, then further fleshed out with keyword-rich company information. We created a competitive list of other companies in the field to keep a close eye on and shared insights with 508’s management team, on what was driving the most engagement on their own channels as well as others’. The copy for each post was custom-tailored to make the most sense for each of their owned channels: LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. We researched and built out a hashtag strategy to reach and earn new followers, nearly tripling their followers in less than 6 months.
Their website was photo-heavy and lacking important information describing their services. To improve their SEO and bounce rates, we added keyword-rich copy describing all they had to offer, added informative text descriptions to all of their gallery images, and inserted outbound hyperlinks to mentions of all their major clients. At the same time, we copyedited some of their company boilerplate copy and built out profile pages across major industry-relevant websites to create a strong inbound backlink network.
